Archive Files
Search archives with the following file extensions
This option allows you to search the content of archive files for duplicates. Right-clicking this option allows you to select or deselect all file extensions.Individual archive files with the following file extensions can be searched:
7z, arj, cab, cb7, cbr, cbt, cbz, epub, gz, iso, lzh, lha, nrg, rar, tar, zip
Split archives with the following file extensions can be searched:
- .7z.001, .7z.002, ...
- .rar → .r00, .r01, ...
- .part1.rar, .part2.rar, ...
- .tar.001, .tar.002, ...
- .zip → .z01, .z02, ...
- .zip.001, .zip.002, ...
Notes:
- Password-protected files in archives and password-protected archive files are automatically filtered when using the search method File Content, Similar Pictures or Similar Music
- With the File Manager, only files in archives with the .zip and .7z extensions can be deleted.
Delete temporary files after checksum creation
This option deletes the temporarily unpacked files immediately after the checksum has been created. This has the advantage that less disk space is required for unpacking when searching many archive files.This option only has an effect under the following circumstances:
- The search method Similar Pictures is used and the option 'Detect image changes' is not activated
- The search method File Content is used and a checksum method is selected for the comparison method.
